Supporting Rural Revitalization
Guangdong Hongda has actively responded to and supported the Rural Revitalization Strategy by engaging in collaborative initiatives such as paired assistance, cultural and sports services, consumption-driven support, and ecological-environmental improvement. Through “revitalizing industries” to drive “rural revitalization,” the company is advancing the “100-1,000-10,000 Project” and demonstrating the responsibility of a state-owned enterprise. In 2024, total investment in rural revitalization amounted to RMB 653,000.
• Pairing Assistance to Alleviate People’s Difficulties: Gansu Xing’an has dispatched three Party members and cadres to form a poverty-alleviation task force that has been stationed in the village for targeted assistance for more than three years. The team has established paired-care relationships with eight households of severely disabled individuals and families in extreme financial difficulty, comprehensively gathering first-hand information on those in need, proactively seeking measures to address their challenges, and ensuring that the basic living needs of the most vulnerable are met and that large-scale relapse into poverty is prevented.
• Enhancing the Environment for a Beautiful Countryside: On March 6, 2024, all employees of Luoding Hongda Civil Explosives Organization carried out a sanitation improvement campaign under the theme “Supporting the ‘Hundred-Thousand-Ten-Thousand’ Project and Jointly Writing a Chapter of High-Quality Development,” cleaning up litter, weeds, and other debris along the road surface, roadside areas, and roadside drainage ditches from the factory gate to the intersection with National Highway 324.
• Revitalizing Education and Cultivating Talent: Huawei Chemical, a subsidiary of Hongda Civil Explosives, has participated in the public welfare project under Xingning City’s “100-1,000-10,000 Project” for high-quality development, providing dedicated funding to upgrade and renovate the sports field at Yonghe Middle School. Meanwhile, the Dahuangliutan Project Office in Xinjiang has actively joined the “Warm Hearts for Children—Supporting Rural Revitalization” charitable initiative, donating motivational growth kits. In addition, the Hengyang Branch of Hongda Engineering has proactively organized on-site visits and exchange programs for local college students, helping some of them secure employment, addressing funding shortages for schools, and donating school supplies on Children’s Day, thereby supporting the development of rural education.
Community Public Welfare Volunteer
Guangdong Hongda is committed to upholding the spirit of volunteer service—dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress—actively fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, and encouraging and guiding its employees to actively participate in public welfare initiatives, thereby working together to build a better community. In 2024, the company made total external donations amounting to RMB 1.572 million; its employees contributed a total of 441 volunteer service engagements, totaling 1,190 hours of volunteer work.
• Charitable Donations for Education: In 2024, Hongda Engineering donated a total of RMB 850,000 to universities including Liaoning University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, and Anhui University of Science and Technology.
• Strengthening Community Engagement: Supporting the development of host communities, paying close attention to the needs of local government, the public, and other stakeholders, establishing smooth communication mechanisms with host communities, supporting local infrastructure development, and helping to improve people’s livelihoods. In 2024, the Baofeng Project Office of Hongda Engineering in Henan Province worked closely with the village committee to widen and pave roads, completing more than 1,000 meters of road construction and thereby facilitating travel for villagers.
• Public-service volunteerism: Hongda Engineering and Hongda Civil Explosives have established youth task forces to actively carry out a series of volunteer service initiatives, continuously enhancing the “Youth” brand, demonstrating the commitment and achievements of Hongda’s young workforce, and putting youth social responsibility into practice through concrete actions, thereby contributing youthful energy to Hongda’s development.
