Addressing Climate Change

Addressing Climate Change

Our Management

Based on the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, the Company continuously refines its environmental management framework and enhances its environmental management capabilities and accountability. We have integrated environmental management into the oversight and management scope of the Board of Directors and the Sustainability Committee, entrusting them with the review of major decisions related to ecological and environmental protection and with the articulation of the overall direction for environmental management. The Safety Supervision Department is responsible for developing plans and management systems for ecological and environmental protection and for overseeing the effective implementation of such initiatives; in 2024, we established a dedicated Environmental Management Officer position to focus on the management and tracking of all ecological and environmental issues and to coordinate and advance ecological and environmental protection efforts in a holistic manner. Each of our subsidiaries designates its Safety Production Department as the functional unit for environmental management, which is tasked with organizing and implementing environmental management activities to ensure that environmental protection responsibilities are clearly assigned and effectively fulfilled. In addition, the Company has established a sustainability governance system led by the Board of Directors as the governing body for addressing climate change, progressively undertaking climate-change risk management, strategy development, energy conservation and emission reduction, and other related initiatives, thereby actively responding to global efforts to tackle climate change.
