Serbia Rikita Project

The Čukalu–Pejci copper‑gold mine is located in the Bor District, eastern Serbia, a country in southeastern Europe along the Belt and Road Initiative. It lies 5 km south of the city of Bor and falls under the administrative jurisdiction of the City of Bor. As a flagship project at the European forefront of the Belt and Road, the mine comprises an upper ore zone and a lower ore zone. The upper zone contains 1.45 million tonnes of copper and 76 tonnes of gold, while the lower zone holds 18.55 million tonnes of copper and 385 tonnes of gold. Together with the Bor Copper Mine, the Čukalu–Pejci deposit will help transform Bor into Europe’s second-largest copper‑producing hub and position Serbia as the continent’s second-largest copper producer. Our company is responsible for developing the upper ore zone, focusing on the UZ main orebody and the UZ2 orebody. Our scope includes development and preparatory mining in designated extraction levels within the mine area, roadway support, backfilling and retaining walls, installation and removal of backfill pipelines, roadway maintenance, drift‑type mining, medium‑depth hole mining, rock drilling, blasting, loading and hauling to ore chutes or locations specified by the client.
