Zambia Explosives Factory
The Zambian explosives plant has a design capacity of 35,000 tonnes per year of gel‑type emulsion explosives, including 15,000 tonnes of finished emulsion explosives and 20,000 tonnes of on‑site mixed emulsion explosives. The plant site is located in the northern part of Zambia’s Copperbelt Province.
The project provides safe, high‑quality, and reliably supplied explosives and related services for mining operations, contributing a significant Chinese contribution to Zambia’s vision of increasing copper production to 3 million tonnes per year by 2030.
