On March 28–29, Hongda Blasting successfully held the first session of its 2026 specialized training program for enhancing the safety management capabilities of project core personnel at its Hengyang branch. Zheng Mingyi, a member of the company’s Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, attended the event and delivered a speech. More than 70 project core personnel from Xuefeng Blasting, as well as from the company’s various subsidiaries, branches, and project departments, gathered to participate in the training. Through a combination of theoretical lectures, hands-on practice, and interactive discussions, the program comprehensively strengthened participants’ safety management skills and fostered a unified commitment to the enterprise’s safe development.
This training program is firmly centered on two main themes: the implementation of the work safety responsibility system and the standardization of work safety. The curriculum covers such topics as “Analysis of Safety Management Issues in Repair Shops and Corresponding Solutions,” “Performance-Responsibility Checklist Assessment Standards and Implementation of the Responsibility System,” “Standardized Blasting Operation Procedures,” “Selection and Operation & Maintenance Management of Self-Operated Equipment for Open-Pit Mine Construction,” “Strengthening the Foundation of Equipment Management and Elevating the Level of Standardization,” and “Sharing Best Practices in Benchmark Project Management.” The content focuses on practical key points such as hazard control for high-risk operations in repair shops and compliance with certification requirements for specialized tasks, while also delving into modules like quantitative assessment based on performance-responsibility checklists, full-lifecycle operation and maintenance of equipment, and end-to-end safety management of blasting operations. The program both reinforces participants’ theoretical foundations and provides actionable, real-world solutions.
At the opening ceremony, Zheng Mingyi stated that it is essential to solidify our ideological foundation, strengthen our sense of responsibility and commitment, and deeply recognize that safety is the prerequisite for production and the bottom line for the survival and development of any enterprise. He emphasized the need to integrate learning with practice, enhance our ability to handle real-world situations by studying with specific problems in mind and applying what we learn to practical contexts, thereby transforming our knowledge into the capacity to solve actual problems and achieving the unity of knowledge and action. Furthermore, he urged participants to strictly observe training discipline, foster a positive learning environment, cherish opportunities for exchange, share management experience, discuss challenging issues, and strive for mutual improvement through continuous learning from one another.
This training program adopts a “primarily offline, supplemented by online” approach. In addition to specialized lectures, participants were divided into groups and conducted on-site inspections at open-pit mining areas, tailings storage facilities, underground mining infrastructure sites, and mineral processing plants, carrying out practical risk assessments and hazard identification. During the reporting sessions, each group shared its inspection findings and improvement recommendations, while the panel of judges provided on-the-spot feedback and answered questions, thereby effectively enhancing the training’s practical impact. At the same time, the company has mandated that all participating projects identify actionable improvement measures based on what they have learned and implement these measures within their respective project teams. Moving forward, the Company Safety Committee Office will establish a closed-loop tracking mechanism to regularly oversee and follow up on corrective actions, conduct random inspections and evaluations, and incorporate the results into the assessment of the safety production responsibility system, thus further elevating the company’s efforts to standardize safety production.
